Arie Azene was born in 1934 in Germany. Azene immigrated to Israel at a young age and grew up in Tel Aviv. He studied at the Bezalel Acadamy in Jerusalem and at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv. He left to Paris for advanced studies at the Grande Chaumiere. During the years 1968-70 he lived in France, England and Germanyas of 1984 he lived in Jerusalem.
During his career as a Master artist he has exhibited in international shows, Museums and Galleries in Israel, Europe and the USA. Many of Azene’s artworks can be found in important private collections.
אריה אזן נולד בגרמניה ב-1934, גדל בתל-אביב, והיה חבר קיבוץ צובה עד 1978.
כיום הוא מתגורר בירושלים. הוא למד אצל אהרון אבני, אצל הצייר ויתקין ב-”בצלאל” ובאקדמיה בפריז. בשנות ה-50 הצטרף ל”אופקים חדשים” ומשנות השבעים עבר לציור בסגנון ריאליסטי.
הציג בתערוכות רבות בתל-אביב, חיפה, ירושלים, ניו-יורק, לוס אנג’לס, ברן, גרמניה ופריז. עבודותיו נמצאות באוספים פרטיים ומוזיאונים שונים בארץ ובעולם.
